A Data Architect by training and a Database Marketer and Change Leader by practice, Azhar’s 35-year career has given him the opportunity to lead and participate in significant capability building and organisational transformation projects at regional and global levels, at companies like IBM and Microsoft. The common denominator across all these assignments is data and the adoption of data enabled capabilities and business models to drive better business decisions and performance.

Formerly from E-Book Systems, Faber Image and Microsoft, he has clocked more than 24 years of experience in Design, Software, Multimedia, and Events industry; working with brands like Microsoft, Bridgestone, Estee Lauder, Dior, Fancl, Olam, HBO, MHA, NUH, Boston Scientific, Duke-NUS, Property Guru, SingTel and StarHub to name a few. He has provided design consultancy and on-location support for the ITA (Information Technology Authority), Sultanate of Oman for their CERT portal.

Senthil is driven to meld design with the latest technologies – founded on a systematic and unique approach to HCI (Human-Computer Interaction). His work is focused on delivering an aesthetic UI (User Interface) that is anchored by a sound UX (User Experience).

Automating Manufacturing Process for a privately-owned MNC
The Background:

We ran an automation project for a privately- owned manufacturing company that was heavily reliant on manual processes and aging senior staff. The client had numerous requirements, and a tight timeline for the delivery of a practical final solution added to the existing challenge.

The Assessment:

Assessed the situation by visiting the factory to understand the different machines used and the complex manual process implemented.

Identified the challenges faced by the client, such as machine breakdowns, a need to reduce storage space, and the tedious and manual process of sorting assorted products.

The Solution:

We developed a solution that allowed for clear visibility in three key areas: machine management, product management, and sorting/ packing management. The system was built to be flexible and scalable, and the final flow and visuals were developed to be simple, clear, and intuitive. The supervisors could view the status of products using a single screen, and the management could have a snapshot of the status of their orders.

The Outcome:

The final delivery was delivered on time to the client's satisfaction, optimising both machine and manual operations. We went further to add additional modules and logic to automatically calculate the client's required inputs to achieve the desired output. The project was concluded with delivering the client all the necessary information for their internal implementation, execution, and monitoring.

The Challenge:
